Cybergoth Confessions

I’ve been into the cybergoth scene for years and I wish I could look half as nice as all the pictures I see, but I don’t have money for the clothing and accessories I’d love to get. I feel out of place around people that are all dressed up.

I personally feel the cyberpop label is great due to such vast contrasts in both fashion and music that are available in the cyber world. I’m not gothic in the slightest and find ‘cyberpop’ do be more applicable to both my music and fashion.

We are happy to do so again too ! So we definitely welcome new confessions !

My style atm is very dull/boring but I’ve always loved the cybergoth style, but because of family reasons I’ve never been able to actually look cybergoth and I’ve been called a fake/poser because I’m just now able to change my style to what I want.

I hate how Cybergoth and Cyberpunk are compared and often labelled as being the same.

"Cyberpop" is annoying and pointless. Stop trying to put a label on every person who doesn’t dress strictly Cyber Goth. People can’t just do their own thing and make cyber fashion fit their personal style without other people calling it "Cyberpop".

I have goth friends, but I’m the only cybergoth that I know and sometimes I feel a little weird for being the only one in the group that wears a gas mask.

Full Confession (Submitted by mandymeowington5) - I love the cybergoth subculture because I feel like it’s the only gothic subculture that exclusively wears color. Sure, wearing all black is great, and it looks wonderful, don’t get me wrong, but I really love wearing extremely bright colors and still pulling off gothiness without being labeled as “scene.”
